Amy Lee. See concert program for more information. Christmas Concert 2008 The cantata "Holy Night of Miracles" was directed by Rev. Amy Lee. This event was very well attended and received, and we were happy to have the Choir of St. Paul's L'Amoreaux participate with the Chorale. The proceeds from this concert enabled us to make a much-appreciated donation to the church outreach program. See concert program for more details. Thanksgiving Service A Thanksgiving Service was held on Sunday September 21, 2008 to celebrate the 15th Anniversary of the Chorale at St. Michael the Archangel Church. Rev'd Susan De Gruchy welcomed the group, and Pastor Basil Coward, The Chorale's Chaplain, conducted the service. This was an opportunity to thank many people who have supported us during the past 15 years. Also the Rosetta Batson Bursary Awards were presented to Owen Lee and Temeka Williams to help with their education at York University. For more information see the Scholarship winners and the Awards ceremony. Barbeque and Fish Fry The Annual picnic and fish fry was held at St. Michael the Archangel Church. We had a good time in spite of the rain. We bade farewell to Clement Pinnock who retired to Jamaica. See pictures in the gallery. New York Concert The Chorale made a return visit to New York in May 2008, and performed at St. Augustine Episcopal Church in Brooklyn New York. The Caribbean calypsos and folk songs were a new feature that was introduced to our repertoire. See pictures in the gallery. Spring Concert 2008 The Spring Concert was held for the first time at Don Mills United Church in March 2008. The Chorale was privileged to have Roger Gibbs work with us in beginning to develop a truly Caribbean repertoire, e.g. calypsos, folk songs, etc. This has so far been very well received both by members as well as patrons, as was evidenced by the response of the audiences both at Don Mills United Church and St. Augustine's Church in Brooklyn. Memorial Service Our first event in our 15th year, we held a Memorial Service to remember the lives and contributions of Rosetta Batson, Undine Newton, Ivy Isaacs and Monica Dalzine, four of our members who have been called to higher service. The Service took place on Sunday, February 3, 2008 at 4:30 p.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Anglican Church, 410 Goldhawk Road, Scarborough. Pictures from this service can be seen in the Picture Gallery.Dinner Concert 2007 A gala Dinner Theatre Production was held on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at the Alex Manoogian Centre, Rembrandt Banquet Hall Scarborough.
